WHAT IT IS: Welcome to Lavera’s Color Intense collection, their most highly pigmented lipsticks. They’re creamy and luscious and so comfortable to wear. And did we mention they’re available in 10 gorgeous shades?! Since we end up ingesting whatever we put on our lips, it only makes sense to be choosy about our lipsticks. Lavera takes all the guesswork out of the question, “Is this safe?” Not only are all their lipsticks free of synthetic chemicals and heavy metals, but they’re a nourishing treat for your lips because they’re packed with hydrating and soothing oils.
Lavera’s Maroon Kiss Lipstick is a soft burgundy-berry shade that seems to look gorgeous on everyone. It’s one of Lavera’s all-time bestsellers.
WHAT IT DOES: We’ve all heard of the new lipsticks that look untouched on your lips for a day at a time. While Lavera’s lipsticks do have staying power, they’re made with all-natural ingredients so you will need to take a minute to reapply them during the day. The good news is that you aren’t drying out your lips or ingesting ingredients like silicone, heavy metals, D&C Red Dye No. 21 and parabens! Lavera Color Intense delivers beautiful color along with peace of mind.
KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
•Organic jojoba oil, shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, almond oil, olive oil, and argan oil provide unparalleled hydration.
•Organic rose, mallow and lime blossom provide gentle, soothing protection for your lips.
•High-quality pigments are from natural minerals.
WHY WE LOVE IT: We love what a deep, rich shade this is. More subdued and mysterious than red, we think this shade is as delicious as red velvet cake!
How To Use: To make your lipstick color last longer, completely fill in your lips with lipliner before applying lipstick. For fuller lips, go ever-so lightly over your natural lip line. Use either a touch of lipgloss in the center of your bottom lip or even a touch of shimmery Lavera eyeshadow. A trick I learned years ago from a makeup artist is to create your own custom-made lip colors. Not thrilled with that coral pink lipstick you bought over the summer? Don’t toss it; layer it on your lips with a maroon or burgundy shade and maybe top it off with a caramel-toned gloss. Experiment until you find the perfect look for you. This is where different color lipliners come in handy too. Just remember to blend, blend, blend!
